In general, it is much harder to control what you eat when you dine out at a restaurant. Preparing you meals at home gives you much better control over the types of protein, carbohydrate, and fats that you eat. It is easy to find magic window meals at restaurants because most menus are full of high starch dishes, but there is often not enough time allowed in the window to get to a restaurant.
